Everything You Should Know About Perfume!
Perfume | Parfum
Some perfumes may categorized as Perfume / Parfum. Perfume/parfum is the most high concentrate and can lasting for up to 8 hours. Perfume / Parfum also referred to as perfume extract, is the most concentrated formulation, and is usually the most expensive. It contains 15-30% aromatic compounds. Due to its high amount of aromatic compounds, it also tends to last the longest when applied to the skin. It is usually sold in small bottles of 1 ounce or less.
EDP - Eau De Perfume
Eau de parfum, also called eau de perfume or EDP, is the next most concentrated formula, and one of the most popular purchases. It consists of 10-15% aromatic compounds.
EDT - Eau De Toillete
Eau de toilette is also a popular choice, and is less expensive than the perfume or parfum formulations, although its scent will not last as long when applied to the skin. Eau de toilette contains 5-20% aromatic compounds.
Cologne / Eau De Cologne
Eau de Cologne originated in Cologne, Germany. Today, it is a generic term that defines a class of scented formulations by its typical concentration of about 2-5%. Cologne products are available for either men or women, and are sometimes mistaken for aftershave, which is actually a formula containing moisturizer, an antiseptic agent, and perfume. In addition, aftershave can be a gel, lotion, or liquid.
Here some of the facts on the lasting power of the perfume :
Perfume Parfum | Eau De Perfume (EDP) | Eau De Toillete (EDT) | Cologne (EDC) |

The lasting power of perfume may differ according to your skin.
Aftershave
Aftershave describes a lotion, gel, balm, powder, or liquid used mainly by men after they have finished the act of shaving. It may contain an antiseptic agent such as denatured alcohol or stearate citrate to prevent infection from cuts. Menthol is used in some varieties as well to numb damaged skin, and it is an ingredient that shave cream manufacturers have started including in their formulations, too.
Tester
In some of our perfume list, you may find a perfume categorised as TESTER. What is it? A tester is a version of a fragrance that comes without the fancy, retail packaging. Tester versions come in the same bottle as the retail version and include the same amount and quality of fragrance. The testers you see on our website are direct from the manufacturer and have never been used. In most cases, a tester fragrance will come in a plain white or cardboard box. However, some designers will reduce production costs by distributing their tester products unboxed and without caps. By cap we mean the decorative top, the spray nozzle comes with all spray fragrances (e.g. aftershave or splash fragrances don't come with sprayers). So, there are four ways that a tester can be packaged and sold:
1. Boxed with a cap | 2. Boxed without cap | 3. Unboxed with a cap | 4. Unboxed without a cap |
The testers you see on our website are direct from the manufacturer and have never been used. If you do not care about the box and the cap, then tester version is suitable for you. Buying a tester can save your money. However, not all brands available with tester version.
Please remember that TESTER is not a rejected perfume! It was designed purposely for promotional.
If you like to save more on TESTER, we have a TESTER FIESTA where all TESTERs offered with big discount for a month! Wait for our announcement.
Boxed & Unboxed
Sometimes you can see our perfume stated with 'BOXED' and 'UNBOXED'. The above may explain what UNBOXED means - in other way it is a tester, even though some tester comes with plain or black and white box. The BOXED perfume is referring to the new perfume or perfume that you bought from perfume shop, easy to say, it is the retail perfume.
